A Ukrainian company has won a tender to supply a buckwheat and lentil processing lines to Germany

Despite the difficult political situation worldwide, over the past 10 years the Ukrainian company ‘AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD’ has established as a strong player in the European market for grain processing equipment.

A project implemented by the NGO ‘AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD’ has recently been launched in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, for a farming enterprise: a buckwheat mill with a capacity of 24 tonnes of grain per day, producing unsteamed high-quality buckwheat groats (‘Yadrica’ sort). The plant is operating successfully and continues to develop.

On February of 2026, ‘AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD’ company has again become a winner of a tender to supply a lentil processing line to farm enterprise in Germany. This production line involves the cleaning, sorting and packaging of lentils. The main technological equipment is Abrasive dehuller for legumes ЛАБ-1,5. This is a special machine designed for shelling legumes (lentils, peas, chickpeas, lupins, soya beans); it achieves a high yield and provides consistent quality of the legume product.

The demand for such equipment is entirely reasonable. Lentils, as one of the oldest food products, have a rich history of consumption and are deep-rooted in German culture – where tradition and modernity meet. The consumption of lentils in Germany is associated with traditional ways of preparing it, especially ‘Linsensuppe’ – a popular winter dish made from brown lentils. Today, the proportion of vegetarian consumers and those who care about their health continues to grow in Germany. Even vegetarian burgers made from lentils are becoming more and more popular. Therefore, production lines of this kind in Germany are geared towards meeting the high demand for healthy food products.
