The development of agribusiness in Ukraine: Agro Ukraine Week - agricultural event
The Agro Ukraine Week summit took place in Kyiv on 17–19 June. During the three-day agricultural event, the organisers tried to bring together a wide range of participants – business representatives, farmers, international partners, developers, researchers and politicians – in order to discuss the current challenges and opportunities facing Ukraine’s agri-food future.

The Agro Ukraine Week summit took place in Kyiv on 17–19 June. During the three-day agricultural event, the organisers tried to bring together a wide range of participants – business representatives, farmers, international partners, developers, researchers and politicians – in order to discuss the current challenges and opportunities facing Ukraine’s agri-food future. However, the organisation of the forum was far from perfect. On the other side, it was a "pilot" project of such a large scale and with such a wide audience reach.
As for agricultural enterprises and farmers, their attention is focused on the popular topic of grain processing, which was discussed at the round-table discussion titled “Ways of establishing a stable market for niche cereal crops”.
The development of processing for niche cereals and legumes will, in the long term, provide an opportunity to export not only raw materials but also cereals made from them, as well as products resulting from further deep processing of these cereals, such as protein concentrate and starch – products with higher added value. This is particularly relevant today, because businesses are looking for new ways to improve their efficiency and competitiveness.
At the AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD exhibition stand, discussions focused on innovative agricultural processing technologies, the use of which helps to increase productivity and improve the quality of the finished product. During the negotiations, the company’s specialists proposed ready-made individual solutions for agricultural processors, taking into account their production conditions and the crops to be processed. They provided advice and identified solutions on how to optimise every stage – from primary treatment and drying to deep processing – as well as how to reduce costs and enhance the company’s competitiveness.
Thus, SIC “AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD” offered highly effective options that meet the needs of customers of all sizes – from individual farmers to large agricultural holdings.
