Ukrainian business visit to Kazakhstan

On March 30, a business mission started in Astana, Kazakhstan, as an event of the Ukraine-Kazakhstan Forum. The meetings were organised by the Embassy of Ukraine in Kazakhstan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘Atameken’, the National Investment Holding ‘Baiterek’, the Association ‘Ukrmashbud’ and private companies.

The forum’s extensive programme included specialized conferences and participation in the ‘Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026’, which focused on mechanical engineering. A separate section was dedicated to the topical subject of grain processing technologies. The conferences took the form of presentations and individual speeches moderated by invited experts, as well as 'round-table' discussions. The session on technological solutions for the processing of agricultural crops, moderated by the CEO of the SIC «AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD», provided an excellent platform for discussions about modern technologies in the field of grain and legume processing. The Ukrainian company’s booth at the exhibition was visited by Olexander Mishchenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Viktor Maiko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the business mission, for participants in the agricultural sector, there were trips to Shymkent, Kokshetau and Karaganda, where were planned appointments with leaders of large agro-holdings, agricultural and food production companies, agricultural trading firms and grain elevators.

The main goals of the forum are Kazakhstani-Ukrainian partnerships development, discuss key areas and variants for cooperation, conclude mutually beneficial contracts and exchange experience. The forum provided an excellent opportunity for constructive discussions. We would like to note the high level of organisation and the well-prepared, eventful programme for all participants, including both the Ukrainian delegation and the host organisation.
