While Ukraine is seeing a battle between processors and exporters of cereals and legumes, Europe is choosing a “processing“ strategy.
The Ukrainian company “AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD“ is preparing the next set of processing equipment for a lentil production line for a Czech grain processing company that specialises primarily in healthy food products, including legumes and cereals. It should be noted that food quality and safety are confirmed by certified IFS Food system and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
«AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD» had previously provided this company with such turnkey production lines as the following:
All these lines are certified to European standards and have been working safely and efficiently for four years now. Consumers certainly trust this manufacturer’s products. And the manufacturer, in turn, trusts Ukrainian technological equipment.
The importance of basic equipment for processing lentils has become increasingly apparent in recent times. In 2024, AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD announced the newest machine – its unique origin Abrasive dehuller for legumes ЛАБ-1,5, and by 2026, this equipment was already in demand in Kazakhstan, Germany, Moldova, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. Lentils are returning to popularity and setting new records. In Germany, for example, this rise in popularity is due to a healthy eating trend, as well as the traditional use of lentil popular first dish in the diet. As for Kazakhstan, the country currently occupies 6th place in the world for lentil exports. This crop is one of the country’s niche products. Earlier, Kazakhstan exported lentils to Turkey as raw materials, and then imported them back as ready-to-eat products, and consequently paid a higher price. Now, thanks to the development of lentil processing plants, Kazakhstan has stopped importing lentils as a finished product and is instead increasing its production for export.
Note: According to the International Grains Council, lentil production rose to 7.5 million tonnes in the 2024/25 marketing year. Demand creates supply. That is why it is necessary to plan such projects now! Scientific-industrial corporation “AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD“ keeps us be informed that the specialists are ready to advise and assist with equipment choice and help to understand the nuances of technological processes.
