Design and operation:

Destoner consists of body (1), machine bed (2), deck with metal mesh (3), feeder (4), aspiration chamber (5), aspiration valve (6), loading nozzle (7), unloading nozzle (8), outlet nozzle for stones (9). This machine works by the following technological scheme.

Raw grain goes to the machine through loading nozzle and distributed along the inclined plane of deck 6 with a special valve. This valve guarantees tightness from side of loading pipe. After grain got into the deck, the grain layer is loosening up by airflow and surface vibration.

Such grain layer is perfect for efficient separation of dissimilar components. Heavy particles move down into the sorting surface. Particles with a lower density go to the upper layers. In a layered mixture, there is a process of vibrational movement of dissimilar components in opposite directions. If the air flow absent, mixture components go up on sorting surface. If the air flow present, grain layer go down to the lower part of the deck.

The efficiency and productivity of the Destone depending on the following factors: frequency, amplitude and direction of oscillation, airflow speed, deck angle, the difference in grain density and mineral impurities, loading and humidity.

After grain delamination, the air has dust and light fraction of the product. This air are cleaned by cyclone or filter.

Adjustments:

Optimal terms of product sorting depend on the following adjustments:

  • airflow rate;
  • angle of separating surface;
  • valve position by stone discharge;
  • vibration amplitude;
  • adjustment of the airflow.
