Revitalising the agricultural market: new projects in Kazakhstan

agricultural market of Kazakhstan

Ukraine has been fighting for its independence and peace without violence and aggression for 15 months. At the same time, we are working successfully in agriculture to avoid a food crisis. For example, over the past 10 months, the corridor has become the main export output for Ukrainian grains with shipment of 30.2 million t of agricultural products (52% of the total exports).

However, a new business strategy needs should be created now, taking into account the factors that influence global market activity. Recently our export opportunities (equipment for grain processing) have expanded considerably, not only to European markets, but also to the East, namely to the market of Kazakhstan. Well, we have to say, Kazakhstan`s market has been changed today too. In the past few years, Kazakhstan's grain and flour market has been plagued from illegal imports of Russian wheat. This has made it very difficult to export own products to Asian markets because of years of "grey import market" and the resulting price dumping. Besides, local farmers are thinking seriously about expanding the market not only for their own grain, but also for processed wheat, buckwheat, oats and corn. Thus, on April 10, 2023, the order of the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan banning the importation of wheat by road for six months came into force.

As we know, in 2022 the gross harvest of grains and legumes of Kazakhstan was increased up to 18,4 million t including wheat harvest of 14,6 million t. Today, there are about 174 large grain-processing enterprises operating in Kazakhstan. And about 55% of the grain grown is processed at grain-processing plants and production lines in Kazakhstan. Therefore, this country is rapidly increasing its own volume of grain processing. As a consequence, our company “AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD” is finding a significant increase in interest in our equipment for the processing of grain into cereals, flakes and flour.

Nowadays, we are on stage of concluding and signing of contracts with grain-processing enterprises of Kazakhstan. The fact that there are already 5 grain processing plants operating in Kazakhstan using our equipment contributes to the conclusion of supply agreements, and customers are able to experience the reliability, productivity and high quality of our equipment locally.

At the present, we have won tender for projecting, organizing and equipment supply of equipment complete set for universal cereal mill of oats, wheat, barley and peas processing to groats, universal flakes processing line and buckwheat cereal mill. We are successfully negotiating final supply terms with the some other companies too.

No matter what, we continue to work and successfully implement various projects not only in Ukraine, but also in Central Asia and in European.
