The next calendar year is coming to the end. Analysts are resuming the final results of harvesting crops in Ukraine. We produced analysis of totals and now we are ready to share with you some statistical figures for the collection of cereals and legumes.
We all could see in August that the harvest of 2021 in Ukraine should be encouraging high. For example, the harvest of wheat had been expected approximately figures of 32,5 millions of ton, and the corn – about 37,5 millions of ton.
So, as of November 1, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine published data that about 65,5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from 13,3 million hectares. It is 122 % of gross yield in relation to the previous year. If we take relation of 1 centner to 1 hectare, the yield is 49,2 (it is 123 % in relation to the previous 2020 year). As of November 19, the press-service of Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine announced that gross yield of cereals and legumes is 76,7 million tons. They were harvested from 14,9 million hectares. Average yield is 51,6 centers/hectares. It was 93 % of the forecasting. Partly, 32,6 million tons of wheat - from 7 million hectares and (data from November 1). This result is above forecasting already.
21 million tons of corn have been got from about 3 hectares. But as of November 18, corn was threated on 4,4 million hectares (84% of the forecast), from which 31,8 million tons of grain were harvested with a yield of 72,2 center/hectare. At the same time, the harvesting of corn is still ongoing. As you know, corn grain can be harvested when the content of dry mass of grain is above 70%. Premature cleaning leads to a shortage of energy by 1.3 ... 1.7% per week. Thus, the corn grain harvest usually goes to finish to the end of November.
