As a result of sales for two quarters in 2024, modernised Roll huller СГР (from SIC «AGRO-SIMO-MASHBUD») has become the top sales among technological peeling and grinding equipment. The modernized machine has earned its popularity due to its high degree of hulling and actual maximum yields of finished products, practically matching the kernel content of the grain.
As known, Roll hullers are designed for hulling buckwheat and millet. Working bodies of these machines are roller and deck. The distance between the roll and deck should be less than grain size. Operating principle of this machine is the following: raw grain goes to the working gap between rotating roller and unmoving abrasive deck. This is where the hulling process takes place.
In traditional roll hullers, the working gap is adjusted by complex lever system, which is driven by two flywheels. The disadvantage (weakness) of this design is a large number of joints, which often wear out, thus, they are worsening the accuracy of adjusting the position of the deck. It negatively affects the quality of hulling and reduces the yield of finished groats.
In accordance with the above, our specialists have modernised the mechanism for adjusting the size and shape of the working space. The lever system has been replaced by separate control of the size and shape of the working gap. In addition, two flywheels are used to adjust the working gap size. Therefore, this allows the parallelism of the deck to the roller surface to be adjusted additionally.
The modernised mechanism for adjusting the size and shape of the working gap is more reliable and simplifies the adjustment method. All of this has a direct effect on the quality of the hulling and, most importantly, increases the output of whole kernel (high-quality) groats.
