Machine for wet dehulling ММШ, ММШХ-5

Machines for wet peeling of continuous-grain ММШ and ММШХ-5 (hereinafter referred to as the machine) are intended for cleaning the grain surface, partially separating the fruit membranes, embryo, barb and moistening the grain at the milling industry enterprises to work in conjunction with other types of equipment included in the scheme technological process of the mill.

Purpose of equipment:

Design and operation:

Machine for wet dehulling of continuous motion ММШ (and ММШХ-5) consists of body (1), mesh cylinder (2), rotor (3) with blades (4) for vertical movement of grain, inlet nozzle (6), outlet nozzle for hulled grain (7), drive (8), lower hopper (9) for waste water drain, water distribution unit (20).

Water distribution unit consists of:

    • Electromagnetic closed 2-way valve (type of EV 220А 10B, G 12N NC000, code 042U 4014, drawing 1, pos.21);
    • Pressure gauge (Ру = 10 kG/sm², d = 100, state standard 2405-88, drawing 1, pos.22);
    • Rotameter РМ-0,4 ЖУЗ (state standard 14045-81 (drawing 1, pos. 23);
    • 3-way tension coupling valve with flange for controlling Pressure gauge (Dу = 15, р = 16 kg/sm², ТУ 26-07-1061-84, drawing 1, pos. 24)
    • Valves (15 8р2 Ду = 15 state standard 18722-73, drawing 1, pos. 25).

Rotor is the basic part of the machine. It consists of roller and three sockets. Six whips mounted to the sockets. These whips connected by steel ring. 12 blades are welded to each whips. Each blade located at an angle of 45º to the horizontal. The blades upon the whips go out the grain into outlet nozzle. Lower part of rotor is washing zone. Rotor roller rotates in upper and lower bearing units (10 and 11). The rotor is driven by an electric motor (12) using a V-belt transmission. The tension of the belts is provided by the tensioning pins. Mesh cylinder of machine ММШ consists of three parts which connected by bolts. Mesh cylinder of machine ММШХ-5 consists of two parts which connected by bolts too.

Principle of operation:

The grain go to washing zone throughout inlet nozzle. Water is supplied at the same time. Water consumption is controlled by rotameter (23 on drawing 1). Grain in lower part of machine is scooped by blades and moves up through washing dehulling zone and outlet chamber. Then the grain is putted off to mesh cylinder by rotor centrifugal force. As a result of friction, grain surface has been cleaning from shell and germ. At the same time, excess moisture is removed from the surface of the grain. After washing and wringing zone, the grain goes to upper chamber and gets out from machine by blades throughout nozzle (7). Leftover parts go throughout the holes of mesh cylinder and then go down.
