Shelling machine МШХ is designed to shell grain crops and polish grains and cereals (barley, peas, wheat, millet) obtained in the processing of these crops in groats, farms and individual farms.

Purpose of equipment:

Shelling machine МШХ is designed to shell grain crops and polish grains and cereals (barley, peas, wheat, millet) obtained in the processing of these crops in groats, farms and individual farms.

Shelling machine designed according to 3rd category of State Standard (GOST 15150, climatic execution “У”) for domestic market and export to temperate countries. Concentrator should operate in working terms at the temperature from -10°С to +40°С. Relative humidity should be 80% if average annual temperature is +15°С and atmosphere pressure is 650-800 mmHg (86,6 – 106,7 kPa).

Note.Using sieves parameters (per cereal type):

    • for barley – punch – 1,7 mm х 16 mm;
    • for peas – punch ø 2,5 mm;
    • for wheat – punch – 1,1 mm х 10 mm or –1,7 mm х 16 mm;
    • for millet – punch – 1,1 mm х 10 mm.

Machine composition:

Shelling machine comes fully assembled. It consists of:

    1. Shelling machine (with installed half cylinders МШХ-11.04.000 and punchy sieve – 1,7 mm x 16 mm) – 1 pcs;
    2. 2 half cylinders with punchy sieve – 1,1 mm x 10 mm;
    3. Product passport and operating instructions – 1 pcs.

Wear parts – by request of the customer:

    1. Abrasive disks.
    2. Punchy sieves with specific dimensions.

Design and operation:

Machine consists of vertical housing 1 installed on base 2. There is sieve cylinder 3 (sieve thickness 1,2 … 1,5 mm with holes of rectangular or round cross section) inside the housing.

In the middle part, there is a vertical roller 4 along the machine. There are seven abrasive disks 5 on it. Between disks, there are aspiration cowlings 6. Disks fixed by nuts on roller. Roller with abrasive disks is the main working part. It moving with belt drives. In the top part, the housing closes by cover 8 where are top bearing assembly and outlet pipe. In the lower part, there is outlet pipe with valve for control of finished product.

Product come from receiving pipe then falls on the conical part of the first disk. Afterwards, product come in the gap between the discs and the sieve. Cereal shelling happens in the circular gap between the disks and the sieve surface as a result of friction of the grains on the sieve, abrasive and mutual friction.

Precondition for the normal machine operation is presence of overpressure of the product in the working area, which must be adjusted properly. The quantity of the output product should not exceed the quantity of the incoming. Otherwise, the operation mode will be disturbed.

Then the entire volume of the working area is competed, there is about 13 kg of product in the machine.

The fan's impeller installed in the lower part of roller. The impeller rotates and engulfs air through the holes in the top part of the roller.

The air go through the cavities with roller construction. Then the air with grain shell and light impurities are directed by fan through sieve cowling to outlet pipe. At the same time the product are cleaned and cooled partly.

When processing barley, peas and wheat it is important to apply sieves installed in the cowling МШХ-11.04.010 (table 1). By the way, the gap between the abrasive discs and the punch is 10 mm.

When processing millet it is important to use the cowling МШХ-11.04.010-01. In this case, the gap between the abrasive discs and the punch is 8 mm.
