Grain-cleaning separator БСХ-150 is designed for cleaning grain from the impurities, different from it in width, thickness and aerodynamic properties. It is used in the grain cleaning departments of mills and elevators of flour mills of the agro-industrial complex, including at explosive production facilities
Separators are manufactured according to the 3rd category State standard 15150 in climatic version "У" for the domestic market and export to countries with a temperate climate. At the same time, the separators operate reliably in operating modes at temperatures from minus 10 to plus 40°С, relative humidity 80% at an average annual temperature of plus 15°С, atmospheric pressure from 650 to 800 mm Hg. (86.6 ÷ 106.7 kPa).

An electric motor with a drive pulley is installed on the front wall of the sieve body. Drive pulley through V-belt transmission drives the pulley with an unbalanced weight fixed on it the pulley ensures the circular movement of the sieve body. The pulley rotates freely on bearings mounted on an axle pressed into the crosshead. The bearings are covered with caps. The bearings are lubricated with a syringe through an oiler. The separator frame consists of front and rear struts connected by sidewalls. On the front pillar there are branch pipes for feeding the product into the separator that is equipped with inspection hatches. The pneumatic separation channel serves to separate light impurities from the product. It consists of a body with a movable wall inside. The movement of the lower and upper parts of the movable wall is provided by turning the handle.
The air flow is regulated by a throttle valve using a knob. The movable wall is made of transparent material (or with a viewing window if the wall is opaque) for observing the separation process. A feed roll is provided for uniform feeding of the product into the pneumatic channel. An adapter is installed for connection to the air duct above the channel body.
The principle of operation of the separator is as follows. The product to be cleaned through the inlet pipe enters the feeder, where it is distributed over the entire width of the feeder and directed to the divider where the product is divided into four equal streams and enters the body sections.
The separator’s body makes circular movements under this influence the product moves along the sieve and is sorted. Large impurities are removed from the separator through the trays and the mixture of grain with small impurities passes through the sorting sieve to the lower frame of the sieves. After having waked up through the undersowing sieve small impurities fall on the bottom of the separator and then they are removed through the trays from the machine. The grain cleaned from coarse and small impurities on sieves enters the receiver of the pneumatic separation channel from where it is fed into the pneumatic separation channel with the help of a roller in a uniform flow where the product is intensively blown with an air stream and then the cleaned grain is removed from the machine. Air from the body and the pneumatic separation channel is directed through the air ducts to the cyclone for cleaning from aspiration impurities. Separators can operate both in an elevator (preliminary product cleaning) and in a mill (final cleaning) modes it is depended from the types of sieves. To clean the grain from impurities that differ from it in size, sieves with round, elongated or triangular holes, corresponding to the shape and size of the main crop grain and contaminating impurities, can be used in the separator. The performance of the separator decreases with an increase in moisture and grain contamination.
The selection of sieves in order to obtain the required degree of purification is carried out by the consumer at the place of operation of the separator, depending on the initial product and its properties (humidity, contamination, fractional composition, etc.).
